We offer a number of opportunities for young people aged 14+. Rangers and Young Leaders are valued members of unit and unit teams who may choose to benefit from the following.
Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme
The Duke of Edinburgh's Award is for young people from 14 until 24 years old and if you are in Guides, Rangers or you look after Rainbows, Brownies or Guides and you're under 24 years old you can do your Award through Girlguiding.
International Opportunities
Our experienced county team of international travellers are here to offer opportunities to girls from our county, support to leaders wishing to travel abroad with their units and to girls selected for county, region and nationally run opportunities.
Girlguiding ENE Inspire Notice Board
Girlguiding ENE Inspire is our community for women aged 18 to 30 is fun, flexible and tailored to you.
Queen’s Guide Award
Girlguiding's highest award - The Queens Guide Award is now open to all members aged 16-30! This includes Leaders, Young Leaders and Rangers. It is an opportunity to develop your skills, give back to Guiding and support your local community.
Peer Educator
Peer Education is Girlguiding's programme that trains members aged 14 to 25 to empower themselves and others to make a difference in the lives of girls throughout the UK.
GENE – our county radio show
The GENE radio show is for all supporters of Girlguiding. The two hour show is produced and presented by members of Girlguiding Essex North East and is broadcast at 10am on the first Sunday of every month on Chelmsford Community Radio. Listen on 104.4FM or online.
