International Opportunities
Our experienced county team of international travellers are here to offer opportunities to girls from our county, support to leaders wishing to travel abroad with their units and to girls selected for county, region and nationally run opportunities.
International Selection Day 2025
Open to girls aged 14 to 18 at the time of travel, the county international selection day is being held on Sunday 29th June in Wivenhoe from 10.30am until 4.30pm. The cost for the day is £6.
Those attending will be considered for the Anglia trips in 2026 and 2027 as well as the county led overseas trip in 2026.
For consideration for the following Anglia Region trips girls must attend the county selection day and be available for the Anglia selection on 4 October at Ely College.
Anglia Trips are
- 2026 Malta – exploring the history and culture of the island, in the company of local guides and leaders
- 2026 A UK-based international jamboree – Poacher, in Lincolnshire and/or Wings, in Berkshire, camping and enjoying activities alongside guides and scouts from around the world
- 2027 Interrailing – a train journey around Europe, discovering people and places, while following an itinerary decided by the group
- 2027 India – take part in an event at Sangam, the World Centre, in Pune, followed by a cultural tour of another part of the country.
County Led Overseas Trips
Plans are afoot to ensure a good value opportunity is available those selected to travel in 2026. Watch this space!
