Upcoming Events

Leaders do you want to take your young members on outings and walks in the countryside?
Do you want to feel more confident, to give girls adventure and find your way safely?

Level 1 introduction to the Girlguiding Walking Scheme qualification Walking Scheme | Girlguiding
When - 16th / 17th July
Venue: Black Notley in Braintree Essex.
Participants can attend for each day, or there is basic indoor accommodation available Saturday night if needed (incl). Dinner and breakfast will be provided
Theory sessions in the hall and learn on local walk approx 5 K each day
Water Safety session Saturday evening for Level 1 participants and others requiring this for Levels 2 or 3.
Open to Adults and members 16+ all sections
Costs £35 per person inclusive of water safety (unit expense), or if attending just for water safety, £5.

Risk assessments

Risk Assessments will be needed for each event, travel to/from the event and activities during the event. They help you look at an event from all angles and imagine ‘what if’ scenarios. They are working documents that are updated throughout the planning process.
