Girlguiding Essex North East, is pleased to be working again in partnership with the Chelmsford Civic Society for this year’s Heritage Open Days.
This year’s Heritage Open Days will be taking place between 8th September and 17th September 2023, we have devised a ///What3Words trail to take you on an enjoyable walk and explore 12 places of interest in the city of Chelmsford. This does include the 6 original locations from the previous trail but we have mixed up the order!
Chelmsford has a railway station with a frequent train service, it also has numerous car parks. We suggest you start the trail from either the station if you have travelled by train, or either of these two car parks:

- Enter the ///What3Words address for location 1, follow the map to navigate your way to the address position.
- Using the clue try to find the exact place our trail master was looking at when they set the address.
- Take a photograph or selfie of the feature.
- Repeat for each of the locations.
- Once you have completed the trail, upload your photographs to either the Chelmsford Heritage Open Days Facebook group.
