World Thinking Day 2025
What does World Thinking Day mean?
To me it’s a day for remembering that guiding is all around the world, not just in our local community. Without the inspirational Agnes and Olave Baden-Powell we wouldn’t be the organisation as we know it today, so each and every member should embrace their ethos.
One of my fond memories was cleaning coins for the World Thinking Day Fund, one penny for each year of your age, and the older you got the more coins one needed to clean, but what fun it was getting Brasso all over one’s hands!! (They smelt awful for hours).
As many of our units embark on celebrations around the 22nd February, take a moment to reflect on what is happening in the world around us and remember our fellow guiding friends far and wide.
Enjoy the events that you are all giving time to as your participation is very much appreciated. For those of you who are on sleepovers as part of the Anglia Pyjama Party, I do hope you manage a few hours sleep!
